Who is Tevye when he is part of an all Mormon ‘Fiddler’ at Brigham Young University? What is ‘The Congressional Torah Caucus’ without any Jewish members? How does the greater world understand Jewish perspectives when it is presented as part of general culture? And how do we Jews understand ourselves when so much of what we do becomes part of other people’s story?
Mira Fox is a writer at the Forward who studied comparative religions at Harvard Divinity School before writing about the place of Judaism and Jewish life in American culture.
She will join us on Saturday evening, September 17 for a zoom session with a musical orientation to the liturgy and the themes of the holidays.
